When Leslie Zarra Young officially joined her father’s business in 1988 and then took over the reins in 2003, her ambition was not to step into his shoes. Her dream was to continue to evolve his legacy and the vision he had created, in her unique way.
Some twenty years later, Leslie is the driving force behind one of New York’s premier destinations for modern furniture design. Owned by a woman and run by women, Cliff Young is every bit as successful as the business her father started in 1968.
In the same year that Leslie joined the business, Cliff Young took up 8,800 square feet residence at 200 Lex in the NYDC, New York’s leading destination for designers across the US and beyond. Sharing space with over 100 showrooms, Leslie is the longest-standing women-owned business in this iconic building, still maintaining a large footprint with her newly renovated floor space.
Under Leslie’s discerning guidance, the predominantly female team continues to unveil award-winning Signature pieces that seamlessly fuse Cliff Young’s traditional essence with contemporary flair and enduring sophistication.
