Mary Ann Strandell

Mary Ann Strandell is and painter of note. Her works are a movable terrain between image, media and their myriad histories. Ideas of perception, staging and the decorative experiment with traditional and time-base digital mediums. She considers the poetic and the technological experiences of urbanity and nature. Strandell was born in South Dakota; she now lives and works in New York city. On exhibit are large format oils on canvas that have traced the evolution of the Hudson Yards construction and architecture since its inception. The lenticular prints are abstract images of time and the theatre of change.
